Ireland’s Energy Future?
The Suir Valley Environmental Group presents an evening of talks on Wind Energy and Decarbonisation, Energy Economics, and Energy Demand and Efficiency with Dr Fred Udo, (Physicist and Engineer), Colm McCarthy, (Economist), and David Hughes, (Architect). The talks will be followed by a Q&A chaired by Dr Gerald Mills, (UCD School of Geography and President of the Geographical Society of Ireland).
‘Renewable Energy’ has become an accepted and unquestioned mantra: if it’s renewable it must be good regardless of whether or not it reduces CO2 emissions efficiently. If Ireland is to continue to commit to high investment and substantial, long term changes to our energy system, we must ask hard questions about our renewable energy policy.
